If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join us!

You will need to have very high levels of customer service, as our clients expect a gold standard approach to care.

We work cases up fully, and there is rarely a need to refer patients elsewhere.

You would be based at Chertsey Vets, but occasionally you may be required to work at Woodham Lane. Our two branches are only 10 minutes apart, and work very closely together.

Salary DOE and number of days worked, but we offer very competitive remuneration, and would be happy to discuss this at the start of the interview process, rather than at the end!

We also have an above average CPD allowance, as we value ongoing learning (we have a monthly clinical club), and we include gym membership too.

We are looking for an experienced vet, ideally a certificate holder, or someone who is working towards one, or is in a position to start (funding would be considered). Our busy clinic has a strong medicine and surgical caseload.

Weekdays are 8.30am-6.30pm, with no OOH

Saturdays are 9-12, and on a 1-in-3 rota (though we have temporarily stopped running Saturday clinics during COVID

Vets are scheduled admin time and a lunch break every day.

We have:

  • 15 minute appointments: COVID-secure consulting 'pods'

  • Low rise consult tables - so no lifting heavy dogs!

  • Nurse clinics

  • Visiting soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeons

  • Visiting cardiologist

  • Endosurgery

  • Rhinoscopy

  • Digital X-ray

  • Ultrasound

  • Electrocautary

  • Suction

  • Patient monitoring

  • In-house lab

  • Qualified nurses and PCA's

  • Very capable reception team

  • Full time practice manager

  • Veterinary ambulance

What makes us different?

We listen to our vets - after having worked for many less than brilliant bosses over the years, Sarah and Tristan strive to be approachable, friendly, caring and understanding, with an open door policy.

If you are enthusiastic, and want to progress your career, through CPD and certificate study, then we are very happy to support you, we are a busy practice, with a varied case load, and you are able to follow your cases through to completion.

We have a lovely, friendly team, with extremely capable nurses, and a wealth of experience and skills from our vet and nursing team.

We are a modern and progressive practice, with all the kit you'd expect and a very pro-active approach to CPD.
